  1. Beautiful photos - makes me miss the desert. :) Are you... are you about to fry an egg on the pavement? It looks uncracked, but that could be the 'before'. Also, what are the white-edged rectangles pinned to the ground with a pen?

    1. That's a hard boiled egg that Wes, one of the four century riders that day, brought with him in a pocket to Scotty's Castle. One of the great things about this trip is the food. I really appreciate how Mimi, the cook, makes sure we have protein for breakfast. Often in the form of eggs!

      The white rectangles are solar panels that you can use in the wild to recharge cell phones and other small electronic devices.
